NH Freedom to Marry Coalition (NHFTMC) is committed to protecting your privacy.

This privacy policy explains what information we collect from our requests for support, volunteers, donations or Marriage Petitions. The policy also explains how we use that information to help same sex couples in New Hampshire achieve the rights and responsibilities of civil marriage.

What information does NHFTMC collect?

We collect information when you respond to requests for support, volunteers, donations or sign our Marriage Petitions. The information includes your name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and whether you will allow us to publish your name in the future.

Additional information provided in the case of a donation may include the amount of the donation, and the check number.

What does NHFTMC use your information for?

NHFTMC collects information to keep you informed of developments regarding our mission (including Action Alerts), to identify those willing to volunteer for the organization, to provide evidence that signers of the Marriage Petition are unique New Hampshire residents, and to account for funds received by the organization.

You can update your personal information at any time by contacting NHFTMC.

Does NHFTMC share information about you?

NHFTMC may exchange mailing labels for 1-time use only with other non-profit organizations with compatible missions, if we believe the information may be of interest to our members. This opportunity helps NHFTMC identify other NH residents who may be interested in our work. Under these circumstances, we will share only your name and mailing address and no information is shared electronically.

Examples of like-minded organizations with whom we might exchange labels are: GLAD or PFLAG. We would never exchange labels with any commercial venture. Your personal financial information collected through donations is not shared with anyone. We may publish the names of donors under categories of donation levels. Donations may be made anonymously.

Signed marriage petitions may be used to convince elected officials of the need for marriage rights. We may publish a list of petition signers in a future newsletter or in an ad to show support of NHFTMC goals in a visual way. Only names gathered with permission from the Marriage Petition will be published.

You can opt out of mailing list exchanges at any time, just contact us with your request. All petition signers have the opportunity to indicate their desire to not have their name published.
